Drawing Ideas Sketches for Interaction
By Sjef Fransen • Oct 25th, 2008 • Category: AssignmentsCan you imagine, going back to the old times where you needed to render drawings with pencil, chalk, tape and paper.
Within this module I explored different fields of drawing: basic drawings, product design, renders, scenario etc.
I will first explain very briefly what the module was about, show some drawings that I produced during the assignement and after that I reflect upon the module.
Goal:
Students will learn how to craft visual stories through their sketching to think-through their ideas, share with others, and analyze a design problem from many different perspectives.
Time:
1week.
Deliverables:
Depending upon the experience level of student participants, we may cover product rendering, diagramming and storyboarding as components of the module.
The first 2 days of this module were about recapping the drawing principles (cubes, cylinders, squares, circles) and playing with these shapes. Here you see a collection of these drawings.

The 3th day was about rendering and creating nice looking drawings on papers. Here you see some examples.
The 4th day was about creating simple and good scenarios and telling stories. Here you see some examples.
The 5th day was about making drawings for your own project and making nice renders for you project. Here you see some examples.
